3rd Generation Engineering Ltd. are a "medium to heavy" sub-contract machining company located in Broxburn, West Lothian.  The company services a wide range of industrial sectors including:

In addition to machining services, we offer NDT services using both dye-penetrant and magnetic particle techniques. These tests are carried out by our ASNT Level 2 qualified inspector using our dedicated NDT test room.

Thanks to regular investment in new machine tools, the company combines a blend of CNC and conventional plant that allows us to process complex components with weights ranging from a few kilos to 5 tonnes. Materials including 316 stainless steel, monel, inconel, duplex and aluminium are regularly used. We have also invested in the latest CADCAM software, and an extensive stock of regularly calibrated measuring equipment.

3rd Generation Engineering specialise in practices to meet the demands of the oil related industries. When required, we will ensure that all materials are certified and suitably identified by heat treatment number, and supply dimensional reports with each part.

To complement our own capacity and provide full supply chain management, we have developed close relationships with material suppliers, fabricators and weld overlay cladding suppliers.
